Discord Code of Conduct

Thank you for your interest in joining the ECLAIR Community Discord server! Every new member is a valuable addition to our community and we are excited to welcome you.

In order to make sure that everyone has the best possible time in our server, we ask that you adhere to the following rules. If you spot anyone violating these rules, please report this as soon as possible to the Committee or a Moderator. Anyone found to be violating these rules may be muted, kicked, or banned from the server as appropriate:

1. Obey the law:

Feel free to share professional resources but before you share any information, consider whether doing so would violate GDPR or copyright law. Any content found to be doing so will be removed. By joining this server you accept that any member of the server might see what you post at any time, so please be mindful, respectful, and sensible with what you share. 

2. Don’t forget your personal safety:

While this group is intended for communication and peer support, remember to be careful about what you choose to share. Avoid sharing more personal information than is necessary. ECLAIR Community will never ask you for your home address, bank details, or other sensitive personal data.

3. Keep it clean:

All channels are to be considered as Safe for Work (SFW). Any Not-SFW content posted will be deleted and met with a warning. 

4. Be respectful!

The ECLAIR Community is designed to be a space that makes all its users feel safe and welcome. Hate speech will not be tolerated, nor will the posting or sharing of content that negatively targets any protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010.

5. No harassing users:

This includes private messages and in public chat channels. Any insults or other actions that target a specific user in order to make them feel uncomfortable or unwelcome will award you a warning. Multiple warnings, and you will be kicked from the server.
